Hi Serpent Families,

Smoke from a **prescribed burn in the area is currently affecting air quality around Ives Pool**.

At this point, I do not know whether conditions will improve or clear over the next hour or so. **Please only bring your swimmer to practice today if you are comfortable with the current air quality conditions.** It is completely fine to skip practice today if you prefer.

We will continue to monitor conditions at the pool as practice approaches.

You can also check current conditions yourself using:

**PurpleAir Real-Time Air Quality Map:** [View the PurpleAir Map]

When viewing the map, zoom in on **Sebastopol / Ives Pool**, since conditions can vary quite a bit from one area to another.

For reference, Sonoma County Fire has also posted information about today's prescribed burn at Carrington Coast Ranch Regional Park and notes that smoke may be visible in the area.

Thanks everyone — please use your best judgment for your swimmer this afternoon.
